Here’s an extremely enlightening and in-depth article from Wired on childhood vaccines as a dubious link to Autism, and scientist Paul Offit. Offit states there is absolutely no correlation between getting children vaccinated and developing Autism. As a result he’s experienced threats against he and his family’s safety and become enemy #1 in some Autism advocacy circles. Groups such as Jenny McCarthy’s Autism organization, Generation Rescue, believe Autism is ‘reversible,’ and is caused by ‘toxins’ but can be ‘cured’ through certain techniques such as eating a gluten free diet. Jenny also believes her son Evan was ‘healed’ through the use of hyperbaric oxygen chambers.
