Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver went on The Colbert Report a few weeks back to talk about his organization’s anti-R word campaign.
Colbert has been guilty in the past of using the word to badmouth Sarah Palin, among other people. But judging by the below video, he got message. In an impromptu public service announcement, he looks directly into the camera, saying, “Kids, don’t use the ‘R’ word. It is totally gay.”
I’m not sure Jerri Blank would approve, but I wholeheartedly do. (Unfortunately, Comedy Central is still behind on closed captioning its online videos…)
